Born in Charlotte, NC now living in Charleston, SC after a recent move from San Diego, CA (Apparently, you can take neither the South from the boy or the boy from the South).

Mark was one of the first employees for Kintera, joining the team in 2001 to help launch the third Friends Asking Friends event website ever launched. Over the next eight years he has served a number of roles in supporting web development, product design, training, sales and marketing. You name it… he’s done it. In all this time, his favorite job has always been helping customers, whether working big national organizations learn the technology or strategizing with organizations on how to best implement a new online program.

Mark’s expertise includes working with many national organizations in deploying web strategies for centralized online fundraising initiatives and events. He was a part of the original design team of Friends Asking Friends and continues to work with customers and prospects alike to determine how to continue the success of online event fundraising. Having lived in DC for three years, he also likes to dabble in politics and advocacy.

He received his BS in Civil an Environment Engineering from Duke University and as such is an ardent college basketball fan and hater of anything that is light blue! He also received his Masters in the same subject from Stanford University - hence the connection to the west coast. Although he loved his previous career in environmental engineering, he changed careers while in San Francisco, CA in 2000 to Internet technologies and hasn’t looked back.
